On Tuesday the 13th of July, we held a training day at Mziza. The training covered topics surrounding leadership and many chiefs attended. Also in attendance were our lead farmers and the leadership of the farming club.
We began the training by discussing the goals of AWP in the village. They helped set rules for their club, and described the farmers' responsibilities as club members. The primary topic of discussion is what is the chief's or leader's role in development? Trainees had small group discussions before sharing their conclusions with the group at large.
We shared drinks and donuts. We expect that the farmers in attendance will be better equipped to lead their peers in the field.
